Dr. Ralph A. Kruse, Jr.
Dr. Ralph Kruse is a 1990 graduate of
National University of Health Sciences (National College of
Chiropractic) where he earned his B.S. in Human Biology and Doctor of
Chiropractic degrees. He is a certified instructor and practitioner of
Cox® Technic Flexion-Distraction Manipulation, and holds certificates in
acupuncture, physiotherapy, and kinesio taping. He earned his status as
Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics and American
Board of Chiropractic Consultants and is on the editorial board of the
Journal of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists. He is a member of
the Homewood Area Chamber of Commerce, Greater North Michigan Avenue
Association and American Pregnancy Association.
Dr. Kruse was a research clinician for the
Biomechanics of Low Back Flexion Distraction Therapy study performed at
National College of Chiropractic and is currently involved in the NIH
granted Cervical Cox® flexion-distraction and decompression study at
Loyola University Medical Center in efforts with the Palmer Research
Center. He has published numerous studies documenting the clinical
efficacy of this technique performed to the cervical spine for the
treatment of degenerative disc disease, stenosis, disc herniations, and
radiculopathy. He has also published a study documenting the success of
this technique performed on a pregnant patient clinically diagnosed with
a lumbar disc herniation and resultant radiculopathy, and is currently
documenting the effects of this procedure performed to patients after
spinal surgery.
